Terms and Conditions

By submitting the relevant form and entering into the ‘Valentine’s Day Competition’ (the “Competition”), you accept and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions, as may be amended from time to time (the “Terms & Conditions”):

The Competition is being organised and run by Malta International Airport p.l.c. (C 12662) (the “Organiser”), in accordance with the Terms & Conditions contained herein.

Competition Duration

  • The Competition shall commence on 13th February, 2026 and shall end on 17th February, 2026, both dates included (the “Competition Period”). Any entries received after the 17th February, 2026 will not be accepted by the Organiser.

Eligible Participants

  • To enter the Competition and be eligible to win a Prize, participants must be over 18 years of age. Employees of the Organiser, and any person connected to the Competition, in any way, shall not be eligible to participate in the Competition.
  • In order to participate in the Competition, participants must:
  1. scan the QR Code that is found on the box; and
  2. complete the relevant form provided through the QR Code (the “Form”) and follow the instructions on the form, during the Competition Period, which will entail, inter alia, recording his/her guess of how many heart-shaped balloons are inside the transparent box.
  • A participant may only submit one (1) Form.
  • There will only be two (2) winners.
  • Any questions about how to enter the Competition, or in any way connected to the Competition, should be sent by e-mail to the following address: marketing@maltairport.com with “Valentine’s Day Competition” as the subject.

Prizes

  • Two (2) prizes are available to be won in the competition, one by each winner. Each prize consists of vouchers with a total value of €150 redeemable at any retail and food outlets at the Malta International Airport and SkyParks Business Centre (each a “Prize” and collectively, as the “Prizes”)
  • The use of the Prizes is subject to any additional terms and conditions applicable to the vouchers, as issued by the relevant retailers. Winners are advised to refer to the vouchers themselves for full details

Draw

  • On 18th February, 2026 or at such later date which the Organiser may decide at its sole discretion (the “Draw Date”), participants will be manually drawn at random until ten (10) participants who have correctly predicted the exact number of heart-shaped balloons in the transparent box have been drawn (the “Short-Listed Participants”).
  • Following the Draw Date, the Organiser shall notify the first two (2) Short-Listed Participant whose names are drawn first by email, (provided that sufficient details are provided in the Form).
  • In the event that either or both of the first two (2) Short-Listed Participants cannot be contacted by email within three (3) days from the date of the first contact attempt, the Organiser shall proceed to contact the next Short-Listed Participant/s in the order drawn, in accordance with the procedure laid down under this clause. The process shall be repeated until contact is successfully made.
  • The Prizes shall be sent to the postal address provided by the winners on the Form.

General Terms and Conditions

  • Participants are responsible for keeping up to date with any changes that the Organiser may have made to these Terms & Conditions. The most current version of the Terms & Conditions will be made available on https://maltairport.com/valentines-day-at-the-airport/ and will supersede all previous versions of these Terms & Conditions.
  • The participants are solely responsible for the correct input of their details and any other information required to be inserted in the Form when participating in the Competition and the Organiser shall not be liable for any incomplete, incorrect or inaccurate information supplied by the participants whilst participating in the Competition.
  • The Organiser is not liable for any costs incurred, responses received or any other consequences of error by the participant.
  • The Organiser is not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate transcription of information related to any of the equipment or programming associated with the Competition or utilized by the participant, for any human error, for any interruption, deletion, omission, defect, or line failure of any telephone network or electronic transmission, for problems relating to computer equipment, software, inability to access online services or for any other technical or non-technical error or malfunction.
  • The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify any participant who engages in any improper activity or activity which is inconsistent with these Terms & Conditions, or otherwise if the participant breaches any of these Terms & Conditions or applicable law. Disqualification on these grounds may result in the loss of the Prize. Incomplete, incorrect or inaccurate Forms will be grounds for disqualification and removal of a participant’s submission.
  • The Prizes must be taken as offered. No cash equivalent or other alternative “prize” will be given, except as provided for in these Terms & Conditions.
  • The Prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable and non-refundable and the Prizes cannot be modified by the winners or redeemed for cash. The Organiser reserves the right to substitute the Prizes for prizes of an equivalent value should the Prizes become unavailable for any reason. If the winner is not able for whatever reason to accept the Prizes, then the Organiser reserves the right to award the Prizes to other participants.
  • The winners will accept and use the Prizes at their own risk. The Organiser, its officers, directors, shareholders, representatives, affiliates, employees, promotion agencies, agents, successors, assignees and, or service providers, will not, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect or consequential loss), damage which is suffered or sustained as a result of or in connection with participating in the Competition and/or acceptance and, or use of the Prizes awarded. The winner agrees to indemnify and hold the Organiser its officers, directors, shareholders, representatives, affiliates, employees, promotion agencies, agents, successors, assignees and, or service providers harmless from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind arising in connection with or as a result of participating in the Competition or the winner’s acceptance and, or use of the Prizes.
  • The Organizer shall process the participant’s personal data in accordance with the Organizer’s Privacy Notice.
  • The winners agree to participate in any publicity or other such promotional activities, works or materials which the Organiser may reasonably require in connection with the Competition and the Organiser shall have the right to use their names, likeness, image, voice and biographical information for advertising and promotional purposes in connection with the Prize promotion in all media without further notice and without the need to make any payment to any person for such use.
  • The decision of the Organiser in awarding the Prizes is final and binding and it shall not enter into any discussion with any participant or other persons regarding the outcome of the Competition.
  • The Organiser reserves the right, exercisable at its sole discretion, to suspend,  cancel or modify the Competition, and to amend any of the terms and conditions set forth in these Terms & Conditions including, but not limited to, amendments relating to the Competition Period, the Draw Date and/or the Prizes to be awarded, at any time during the Competition Period, without the requirement to give any notice and liability to the participants. Participants shall not have any recourse against the Organiser as a result of the suspension, cancellation or modification of the Competition, or any alterations to the Terms & Conditions and/or the Prizes.
  • If any of the provisions of these Terms & Conditions becomes illegal, invalid or unenforceable in any respect, the legality, validity and enforceability of the remainder of Terms & Conditions shall not be affected.
  • All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of the Terms & Conditions, or the rights and obligations of the participant and the Organiser in connection with the Competition, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of Malta without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules or provisions that would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than Malta.
  • These Terms & Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the participants and the Organiser pertaining to the subject matter herein and supersede all prior or other arrangements, understandings, negotiations and discussions, whether oral or written. No waiver of any of the provisions of these Terms & Conditions shall be deemed or shall constitute a waiver of any other provisions hereof (whether or not similar), nor shall waiver constitute a continuing waiver unless otherwise expressly provided.
