Bus Service
Getting to Malta Airport By Bus
Reaching Malta International Airport by bus is simple and convenient, thanks to the Airport Direct bus routes: TD1 (Rabat, Buġibba, Ċirkewwa), TD2 (St. Julian’s, Pembroke), TD3 (Gżira, Sliema, St. Julian’s) and TD4 (Valletta, Gozo Fast Ferry). You can view the timetables of these four routes here. For real-time updates, you can also download the official tallinja app which is available for free on your mobile’s app store.
Additionally, there are several other bus routes that connect to key locations around the island. Buses 117, 135, and 218 go from the airport to Mater Dei Hospital and the University of Malta/Campus Hub. Routes 71, 72, 73 connect the airport to Żurrieq, Safi and Qrendi and 201 connects the airport to Rabat. Routes 71,72, 73 and 201 pass by the airport and stop at the Ċintra bus stop.
Visit the public transport website here for detailed information about these services and other bus routes to and from the rest of Malta.
