Euro 2024 Competition – Terms and Conditions
Terms & Conditions
By submitting the relevant form and entering into the ‘EURO 2024 Airport Competition’ (the “Competition”), you accept and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions, as may be amended from time to time (the “Terms & Conditions”):
The Competition is a competition being organised and run by Malta International Airport p.l.c. (C 12663) (the “Organiser”), in accordance with these Terms & Conditions.
The Organiser is the holder of a low risk games permit issued by the Malta Gaming Authority, bearing permit number: MGA/CCG/042/2024
Competition Duration
1. The Competition shall commence on 3rd June, 2024 and shall end on 7th July, 2024, both dates included (the “Competition Period”). Any entries received after the 7th July, 2024 will not be accepted by the Organiser.
Eligible Participants
2. To enter the Competition and be eligible to win a Prize, participants must be over 18 years of age. Employees of the Organiser, and any person connected to the Competition, in any way, shall not be eligible to participate in the Competition.
3. In order to participate in the Competition, participants must:
i. spend a minimum of €20 at any Participating Retail and Food Outlets (as defined below) during the Competition Period; and
ii. complete the relevant form provided at the Participating Retail and Food Outlets (the “Form”) and follow the instructions on the Form, during the Competition Period, which will entail, inter alia, recording his/her prediction of the winning team of the UEFA EURO 2024.
“Participating Retail and Food Outlets” shall mean the following retail and food outlets: https://www.maltairport.com/events/euro-2024-competition/
4. A participant may only submit one (1) Form for every purchase of €20 or more at Participating Retail and Food Outlets. Each successfully completed purchase of €20 or more at Participating Retail and Food Outlets and successfully completed and submitted Form, will together correspond to one (1) entry into the draw for the Prizes. More than one (1) entry per person is permitted.
5. There will only be two (2) winners.
6. Any questions about how to enter the Competition, or in any way connected to the Competition, should be sent by e-mail to the following address: info@maltairport.com with “EURO 2024 Competition” in the subject line.
Prizes
7. The prizes which are available to be won as part of the Competition consist of:

(a) €500 worth of vouchers which may be redeemed at any retail and food outlets at the Malta International Airport and Skyparks Business Centre; and (b) a €500 flight voucher.

(individually referred to as a “Prize” and collectively, as the “Prizes”).
8. Other specific terms and conditions apply to these vouchers (please refer to the vouchers for details).
9. All flights or any carriage by air provided will be subject to the general conditions of carriage of the relevant airline prevailing at the time of carriage as well as the relevant applicable international convention (such as Montreal/Warsaw) and all and any limitations contained therein.
10. The 1st Prize does not include accommodation, airport transfers, travel costs to and from any airport, or any other cost/expense other than the flight voucher. All taxes and any other expenses must be borne by the winner.
11. The winner will be required to make his/her own arrangements with regards to the necessary travel insurance, visas and other travel documentation required by him/her and any accompanying persons, at his/her own cost. The Organiser accepts no responsibility should the winner, and/or an accompanying person, be unable to obtain the necessary visas and/or other travel documentation to travel to the relevant country.
Draw
12. On 16th July, 2024 at 3:00 pm, or at such later date which the Organiser may decide at its sole discretion (the “Draw Date”), participants will be manually drawn at random, in the presence of an official representative of the Malta Gaming Authority and a representative of the Organiser, until ten (10) participants who have correctly predicted the winning team of the UEFA EURO 2024 have been drawn (the “Short-Listed Participants”).
13. Following the Draw Date, the Organiser shall notify the Short-Listed Participant whose name was first drawn by a phone call (provided that sufficient details are provided in the Form submitted) and will be asked a question, which must be answered correctly in order to win the Prize.
14. If the Short-Listed Participant whose name was first drawn cannot be reached by phone within three (3) days, or, the participant does not answer the question referred to in clause 13 above correctly, the Organiser shall inform the next participant/s from the list of the Short-Listed Participants in accordance with the procedure laid down under this clause. The process will be repeated until a Short-Listed Participant responds to the question correctly. The Short-Listed Participant who responds to the question correctly will be entitled to the Prize.
15. The Short-Listed Participants will be ranked according to their positioning in the draw and said ranking shall determine the Prize which he/she shall be entitled to claim. By way of explanation, the first Short-Listed Participant drawn, who responded to the question referred to under clause 13 correctly, shall be awarded the 1st Prize (as referred to under clause 7 above), and the second Short-Listed Participant drawn, who responded to the question referred to under clause 13 correctly, shall be awarded the 2nd Prize (as referred to under clause 7 above).
16. The winners will be required to collect the Prizes within one (1) month from the Draw Date by visiting Malta International Airport. In order to confirm Prize entitlement, the winners will be required to present a valid identification document verifying his/her identity and age.
General Terms and Conditions
17, Participants are responsible for keeping up to date with any changes that the Organiser may have made to these Terms & Conditions. The most current version of the Terms & Conditions will be made available on https://www.maltairport.com/events/euro-2024-competition/ and will supersede all previous versions of these Terms & Conditions.
18. The participants are solely responsible for the correct input of their details and any other information required to be inserted in the Form when participating in the Competition and the Organiser shall not be liable for any incomplete, incorrect or inaccurate information supplied by the participants whilst participating in the Competition.
19. The Organiser is not liable for any costs incurred, responses received or any other consequences of error by the participant.
20. The Organiser is not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate transcription of information related to any of the equipment or programming associated with the Competition or utilized by the participant, for any human error, for any interruption, deletion, omission, defect, or line failure of any telephone network or electronic transmission, for problems relating to computer equipment, software, inability to access online services or for any other technical or non-technical error or malfunction.
21. The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify any participant who engages in any improper activity or activity which is inconsistent with these Terms & Conditions, or otherwise if the participant breaches any of these Terms & Conditions or applicable law. Disqualification on these grounds may result in the loss of the Prizes. Incomplete, incorrect or inaccurate Forms will be grounds for disqualification and removal of a participant’s submission.
22. The Prizes must be taken as offered. No cash equivalent or other alternative “prize” will be given, except as provided for in these Terms & Conditions.
23. The Prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable and non-refundable and the Prizes cannot be modified by the winners or redeemed for cash. The Organiser reserves the right to substitute the Prizes for prizes of an equivalent value should the Prizes become unavailable for any reason. If the winner is not able for whatever reason to accept the Prizes, then the Organiser reserves the right to award the Prizes to other participants.
24. The winners will accept and use the Prizes at their own risk. The Organiser, its officers, directors, shareholders, representatives, affiliates, employees, promotion agencies, agents, successors, assignees and, or service providers, will not, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect or consequential loss), damage which is suffered or sustained as a result of or in connection with participating in the Competition and/or acceptance and, or use of the Prizes awarded. The winner agrees to indemnify and hold the Organiser its officers, directors, shareholders, representatives, affiliates, employees, promotion agencies, agents, successors, assignees and, or service providers harmless from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind arising in connection with or as a result of participating in the Competition or the winner’s acceptance and, or use of the Prizes.
25. The Organizer shall process the participant’s personal data in accordance with the Organizer’s Privacy Notice.
26. The winners agree to participate in any publicity or other such promotional activities, works or materials which the Organiser may reasonably require in connection with the Competition and the Organiser shall have the right to use their names, likeness, image, voice and biographical information for advertising and promotional purposes in connection with the Prize promotion in all media without further notice and without the need to make any payment to any person for such use.
27. The decision of the Organiser in awarding the Prizes is final and binding and it shall not enter into any discussion with any participant or other persons regarding the outcome of the Competition.
28. The Organiser reserves the right, exercisable at its sole discretion, to suspend, cancel or modify the Competition, and to amend any of the terms and conditions set forth in these Terms & Conditions including, but not limited to, amendments relating to the Competition Period, the Draw Date and/or the Prizes to be awarded, at any time during the Competition Period, without the requirement to give any notice and liability to the participants. Participants shall not have any recourse against the Organiser as a result of the suspension, cancellation or modification of the Competition, or any alterations to the Terms & Conditions and/or the Prizes.
29. If any of the provisions of these Terms & Conditions becomes illegal, invalid or unenforceable in any respect, the legality, validity and enforceability of the remainder of Terms & Conditions shall not be affected.
30. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of the Terms & Conditions, or the rights and obligations of the participant and the Organiser in connection with the Competition, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of Malta without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules or provisions that would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than Malta.
31. These Terms & Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the participants and the Organiser pertaining to the subject matter herein and supersede all prior or other arrangements, understandings, negotiations and discussions, whether oral or written. No waiver of any of the provisions of these Terms & Conditions shall be deemed or shall constitute a waiver of any other provisions hereof (whether or not similar), nor shall waiver constitute a continuing waiver unless otherwise expressly provided.
